My advice would be to myself on leaving University. I would say that it’s not going to be as easy as you think it’s going to be in the real world of illustration.
Get yourself out there, meet people, make phone calls and bombard art directors with postcards.
There are no negatives. Be determined and visualize your success. It may take time, but it will be worth it!
If they don’t like something, learn from that and improve.
